Sky is the limit for a strong Air China

Air China, the national flag carrier, has high hopes of becoming one of the world's top five airlines in the years to come, its chairman, Kong Dong, said during an interview with China Daily.

Aircraft deliveries to accelerate in 2011. Led by Ryanair, Air China and Turkish Airlines

Aircraft deliveries are set to accelerate in 2011, with more than 1,400 aircraft scheduled for delivery this year, up from 1213 in 2010. Fleet expansion will be led by Ryanair, Air China and Turkish Airlines, all of which will take delivery of more than 30 aircraft by the end of 2011, based on Ascend data. Asian carriers will take delivery of the most aircraft of any region, as was the case in 2010, followed closely by Europe. LCCs and carriers in emerging markets are driving the expansion trend.

22 November 2010 ROLLS-ROYCE WINS $1.8 BILLION ORDER TO POWER 20 AIR CHINA LTD AIRCRAFT

Rolls-Royce, the global power systems company, has won an order from Air China for engines to power a total of 20 new Air China Ltd aircraft, comprising ten Airbus A350 XWBs and ten A330s. The contract, worth $1.8bn at list prices, includes a TotalCare® long-term service agreement.

Air China to buy 20 Airbus planes for $4.49b

HONG KONG - Air China, the country's leading carrier, said late Thursday that it would pay $4.49 billion to buy 20 Airbus planes.

Air China Finalizes CFM56-5B Engine Order

ZHUHAI, China - 16 November 2010 - In a special ceremony here today, Chinese flag carrier Air China finalized its order for CFM International's CFM56-5B engine to power 20 firm Airbus A320 aircraft. COMAC announces orders for 100 aircraft; ‘The Big Four’, GECAS and CDB Leasing get on board

Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd (Comac) signed orders to sell 100 single-aisle C919 passenger aircraft to Air China, China Southern, China Eastern and HNA Group, parent of Hainan Airlines in addition to leasing companies GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) and China’s CDB Leasing at the Zhuhai Air Show on 15-Nov-2010. GECAS stated it signed a letter of intent to purchase up to ten C919s, consisting of five firm purchases, and options for five more. No details were given about how many aircraft were ordered by the other customers, nor the prices paid.
