As at the end of July 2010, Airbus had an A330 backlog of almost 380 units –the delays to the 787 and the production cut to the 777 have helped but there is certainly room to increase output.
The biggest problem that some foresee is that if Boeing manages to wish away its troubles on the 787 program, then in a couple of years the A330 could be cast aside by airlines.
