Jet engines fanning the flame of conflict

MONTREAL - A simmering battle between aircraft-engine makers is the last thing Bombardier Inc.'s fledgling CSeries needs at this point.

But the potentially bruising fight - regarding a patent on a version of the engine destined for the CSeries - does not seriously threaten the ambitious development schedule or performance targets Bombardier has set, parties involved said Friday.
