Dubai 'renegotiating orders' for 200 Airbus, Boeing planes
Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) is renegotiating a massive order it made in 2007 to buy more than 200 aircraft from Airbus (Paris: NL0000235190 - news) and Boeing (NYSE: BA - news) , a government official said in a report on Friday.
"We are in negotiations" with the European and American constructors, Abdulrahman al-Saleh, the director general of Dubai's finance department, was quoted as saying by The National newspaper.

Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) will restructure its 200 aircraft orders with Airbus and Boeing though a deal with two Dubai airlines, according to two senior executives with knowledge of the talks. The company, which has over 200 aircraft on order with Airbus and Boeing, is expected to shift the orders to Emirates and flydubai, according to the sources.
On June 8 Emirates surprised the market by announcing an order for 32 A380s. Airfinance Journal understands that these aircraft were part of the restructuring with Airbus.
