Boeing’s revised third quarter target for the 787′s service entry now looks to be somewhat more achievable given the raft of delays and setbacks experienced on the program – although this comes at a huge financial cost in writing off the first three test airplanes, (ongoing) compensation to customers and a hugely embarassing three year delay to the program.
While Boeing states that the new schedule wont materially impact 2010s earnings announcement (due next week), the bigger challenges on the program still......
