Analyst: Upstart plane makers bigger threat to Airbus

Upstart single-aisle airliners from Canada, China and Russia are more of a threat to Airbus than to Boeing, according to a prominent analyst.

"Airbus is the most exposed to the emerging competitor threat," Richard Aboulafia, vice president of analysis at Teal Group wrote in a November note to clients.

It's a huge question for Boeing and Airbus, which each have more than 2,000 single-aisle airliners in their order backlog and, respectively, expect airlines to demand around......
