Malaysia Airlines (MAS) plans to place an order for widebodies, and the aircraft types in the running are the Airbus A350 and Boeing 787.
“We have first deliveries of new A330-300s coming in the second quarter of next year and first deliveries of Airbus A380s in 2012, so the other group of aircraft we need to look at is the 787 and A350,” MAS Managing Director and CEO Azmil Zahruddin said on the sidelines of the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines’ (AAPA) presidents meeting in Brunei.
