International Aero Engines A Dead Consortium?

IAE has had a good showing on the Airbus A320 family, but with the denigration of the GTF engine by Rolls-Royce, the consortium is now on borrowed time.

International Aero Engines (IAE) gave CFM International its first real taste of competition on the Airbus A320 family, but with consortium member Rolls-Royce embroiled in a legal challenge to Pratt & Whitney, while continuing to belittle the GTF engine, the prospects of IAE being involved in either re-engining or replacement narrowbodies looks considerably diminished.
